Bridges and transportation infrastructure inspection

Ministère des Transports du Québec

Faced with an increasing number of periodic inspections to carry out, including major bridges, the Ministère des Transports du Québec needed a data acquisition system that would be easier and faster to setup and pack-up at the end of the day.

Newtrax responded to the challenge with a completely self-contained and battery-powered solution based on its wireless mesh technology integrated with seismic sensors already used by the Ministère. With less time lost setting-up and packing-up instrumentation and kilometers of cabling, the Ministère's engineering team are more efficient.

Dorval station

Remote control of HVAC system at city owned railroad station

Dorval, QC, Canada

The City of Dorval owns and operates a railroad station part of the Montreal commuter train system. The location, lay-out and architecture of the station created difficult conditions for the control of the existing HVAC system. Hard wiring of the sensors and control panels was prohibitively expensive.

The use of the Newtrax wireless mesh nodes provided a very economical, reliable and rapidly installed solution to this complex problem.

Industrial HVAC

Temperature and humidity monitoring in industrial environment

Greater Montreal, QC, Canada

A newly-built industrial facility in the Greater Montreal operates high-volume commercial printing machinery sensitive to surrounding temperature and humidity. The machinery maintenance contractors where looking for a reliable monitoring and control solution.

Using Newtrax wireless mesh technology and embedded humidity and temperature sensors, the maintenance staff was able to quickly deploy a self-contained wireless monitoring system with "peel-and-stick" wireless sensors.
